About Dr. Davis

About Dr Gail DavisDr. Davis is originally from Bloomfield Hills, Michigan.  She attended Oakland University in Rochester, Michigan as an undergraduate and received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Meharry Medical College in Nashville, Tennessee.  She received her specialty training, Master of Science in Endodontics, from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.  Dr. Davis moved to the D.C./Maryland area in August of 1992 where she began teaching at Howard University College of Dentistry.  She came on board as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Endodontics.  Dr. Davis worked as a clinical and didactic instructor in the department and has always maintained a part-time practice. 

During her tenure in the Department of Endodontics, she received an award for her scholarly work published in April 2000.  Dr. Davis published an article featured in The Journal of the American Dental Association entitled, "Treating Internal Resorption Using Syringeable Composite Resin."  She also worked with the post-graduate students in the Advanced General Dentistry Program at Howard University College of Dentistry both clinically and didactically.

Dr. Davis has membership affiliations with the American Association of Endodontists, National Dental Association, American Dental Association and a local membership with The Edward Pennick Endodontic Study Club.

Dr. Davis has now retired from Howard University and has a full-time private practice in North Potomac, Maryland.

Outside of Dentistry, Dr Davis enjoys working with young people, community outreach, traveling, skiing, entertaining, yoga, decorating, ballroom dancing, live raw food preparation and speaking on various related topics of health and wellness.
